turn
off is a statement against dead-end
couch and zapping culture. It’s about
cleaning up the mental environment from
distorted news, manipulative advertising,
and top-down culture. the goal is simple:
to shake up routines and get people
questioning the role of TV in their lives.
aforest/design
is now supporting this
movement, with the edition of a knitted
pieces collection, evidencing the
moments of pause and rest of the TV,
practically inexistent nowadays: signal
tests, emission interruptions – one
hears the national hymn and end…
tv off, turn off is pressed. color scales,
shades of light e RGB mix in sweaters
and jumpers.
from
head to supermarket bag
everything is knitted, like a picture of
complete knitting shapes. symbols
and words in screaming button pins.
