a/w 05-06 collection –tv off
turn off is a statement against dead-end
couch and zapping culture. It's about cle-
aning up the mental environment from
distorted news, manipulative ads, and
top-down culture. The goal is simple: to
shake up routines and get people ques-
tioning the role of TV in their lives.
aforest-design is now supporting this
movement, with the edition of a knitted
pieces collection,evidencing the moments
of pause and rest of the TV, practically
inexistent nowadays: signal tests, emis-
sion interruptions -one hears the national
hymn and end…tv off, turn off is pressed.
Color scales, shades of light e RGB mix in
sweaters and jumpers. From head to
supermarket bag everything is knitted,
like a picture of complete knitting shapes.
symbols and words in screaming button
pins.
